Savarino Co served as Construction Manager at Risk for the construction of Explore & More – The Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Children’s Museum at Canalside. The 43,000-square-foot museum spans four floors and features seven interactive play zones, educational studios, exhibit spaces, and community gathering areas, all designed to tell the story of Western New York through hands-on learning.

Built on the terminus of the original Erie Canal, the museum also includes a rooftop terrace, family café, event space, and retail shop. In 2019, the project received the BOMA Project of the Year Award for its excellence in design, construction, and contribution to Buffalo’s waterfront redevelopment.
