Savarino Companies is supporting the redevelopment of a former industrial property at 1 Howell Street through Howell Street Venture LLC. The $15 million project includes the demolition of a fire-damaged warehouse and the construction of a new five-story, 49,000-square-foot residential building.

The development will include 50 apartments — 14 studios, 28 one-bedroom units, and eight two-bedroom units — and a $2 million environmental remediation supported by the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program.
