Savarino Companies served as Developer and Construction Manager at Risk for the adaptive reuse of the former St. Clare Roman Catholic School, located in Buffalo’s Valley neighborhood. The four-story mixed-use building now includes 11 market-rate apartments and ground-floor commercial office space.

Constructed in 1896 as part of the historic St. Stephen’s Church complex, the building is a rare surviving example of pre-1900 neo-Gothic church school architecture. The redevelopment was supported through a combination of federal and New York State Historic Tax Credits.
