Savarino Companies is redeveloping a former industrial property at 1 Howell Street. The $16 million project in Buffalo’s Black Rock neighborhood includes the demolition of a fire-damaged warehouse and the construction of a new five-story, 49,000-square-foot residential building.

The development will include 50 apartments (14 studios, 28 one-bedroom units, and eight two-bedroom units). The project involves environmental remediation of the site supported by the New York State Brownfield Cleanup Program.

When completed, the building will be managed by Savarino Properties.
