Savarino Construction Services LLC will serve as the contractor for the Phase 1 renovations to the former Hotel Niagara in Niagara Falls, NY.

The historic hotel structure, currently abandoned, will be transformed into a 160-room “upper-upscale” hotel with restaurants, lounges, and banquet facilities. USA Niagara Development Corporation has designated Brine Wells Development LLC as the owner and developer of the project. The $58.8M project is funded in part by a grant from USA Niagara and an investment in federal and New York State Historic Tax Credits.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the hotel, originally designed by Esenwein & Johnson, first opened in 1923. It hosted guests like Frank Sinatra, Joe DiMaggio, and President Eisenhower. Marilyn Monroe was a guest for over two months during the 1952 filming of the movie Niagara.
